Frequently Asked Questions
How often does my restaurant need hood cleaning by law in Massachusetts?
Frequency depends on your cooking volume, ranging from monthly for high-volume kitchens to annually for seasonal or low-use kitchens. See our NFPA-96 Compliance Guide for details.
What’s included in a full-system cleaning vs. just a hood wipe-down?
A full-system cleaning covers the hood canopy, baffle filters, exhaust plenum, ductwork, and rooftop fan — cleaned to bare metal. A hood wipe-down only addresses visible surfaces and does not meet NFPA-96 requirements.
Will cleaning disrupt my kitchen during service hours?
No. We schedule all cleanings early morning or overnight, around your service hours.
Do you provide a certificate for my insurance company and fire marshal?
Yes. Every visit ends with a dated compliance certificate documenting the service performed.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Danvers, Peabody, Gloucester, Newburyport, and the surrounding Essex County area. See all service areas.
How much does commercial hood cleaning cost?
Pricing depends on hood size, ductwork length, and cleaning frequency. See Pricing & How It Works or request a free quote.
What happens if I fail a fire inspection?
A failed inspection can result in a shutdown order, a health code violation, or a denied insurance claim after a fire. Staying current on NFPA-96 compliant cleanings avoids this risk.
Do you clean ductwork and rooftop fans too?
Yes — full ductwork and rooftop grease containment cleaning are included in every full-system service visit.
